C4D Scholarship



Connecticut Students for a Dream (C4D) was founded in 2010 by a group of undocumented students and allies from across Connecticut. Initially coming together to advocate for the Federal DREAM Act, to this day we continue our work for educational equity. This scholarship was created to help undocumented immigrant students that are pursuing higher education but have limited financial help due to their immigration status.

Qualification Guidelines

  • Applicants must be undocumented immigrant students. This includes foreign-born people who lack the proper legal documentation to be in the United States, who have either entered without inspection, OR stayed beyond the expiration date of a visa or other status.

  • DACA recipients are eligible.

  • United States citizens, lawful permanent residents, and students holding valid nonimmigrant visa statuses or other lawful statuses are not eligible for this scholarship.

  • Applicants must be currently attending a Public College, Community College, Private College or University in Connecticut for the semester of spring 2016 OR will attend a Public College, Community College, Private College, or University in Connecticut for the semester of spring 2016.

  • Applicants must send a copy of their college acceptance letter OR must send their unofficial or official transcripts from their Public College, or Community College or Private College or University in Connecticut.

  • Sign in and attend at least one future event held by Connecticut Students for a Dream.

  • All questions on the Scholarship Application must be answered.

  • Application must be postmarked by Saturday, October 17, 2015.

Scholarship Award

  • There will be two  winners each receiving a check for $1,500.00

  • Each winner must use check solely for the purpose of paying for anything college or university related, including but not limited to, tuition, books, equipment, materials.

  • The scholarship applications will be administered by C4D Scholarship Committee. The same committee will choose the two different winners.

  • All information received by the committee will remain private.

  • Applicants will be notified on Friday, 10/30/2015 if they have been selected to receive the scholarship award.

  • The selected winners must be present to accept scholarship award at a special event that will be hosted by C4D on November 7, 2015.

Applications that are missing any of the listed items will not be considered by the Scholarship Committee.
