Our Sweet Sixteen brought us together to honor 16 years of immigrant youth organizing, culture, and collective power in Connecticut. Through food, stories, and laughter, we celebrated the people who make this movement possible, and reminded each other why we keep fighting for our communities.

Are you an undocumented high school senior in Danbury or New Haven planning for college? Applications are open for C4D’s UndocuScholar Program!
This free, bilingual program offers monthly workshops and one-on-one coaching to help students build the knowledge and skills to get to and through college. Sessions are available in English and Spanish.
Participants must commit to all four monthly workshops. Spots are limited, and applicants will be invited to a short interview.

C4D’s College Access Office Hours are coming this October!
Undocumented students, parents, and caregivers can receive free and confidential one-on-one peer support as they navigate higher education.
Our bilingual team can help with:
• Institutional aid and scholarships
• Choosing a school, program, or major
• Student and caregiver rights
• Managing time, stress, and expectations
Appointments will be available by phone, Google Meet, or Zoom in English or Spanish. Choose a 30- or 60-minute session.

NHIC and C4D stand in solidarity with Deng, his loved ones, and SCSU during this incredibly difficult time. ICE’s tactics to terrorize our communities and young people at the beginning of the school year are shameful.
We are actively supporting Deng and remain in communication with his loved ones, legal team, and members of the New Haven community as we work together toward his release. We ask everyone to respect his and his family’s privacy as they navigate this moment.
We are also deeply concerned about ICE’s violent presence and access at Tweed New Haven Airport, including access to security badges and parking. Our community deserves transparency about immigration enforcement activity taking place in spaces New Haven residents rely on.
On September 2, Danbury showed what collective power looks like.
After federal immigration agents detained at least 94 people across Connecticut over four days, immigrant families, organizers, workers, faith leaders, and allies came together for A Day Without Immigrants. More than 60 businesses closed their doors, and people from across the state marched through Danbury.
Federal agents tried to bring fear. Our communities responded with unity, courage, and collective action.
Danbury is, and will remain, a community where everyone is welcome.
